I know many of you have older children, but I’m guessing there may be at least a few of you who, like me, have only very young kids at home. My oldest, Lily, just turned three and is only just now beginning to be interested in crafts and able to sit and listen to a story for more than a couple of minutes.
Because of this, I’m constantly on the lookout for simple, effective ways to communicate the gospel in a way that will connect with a toddler’s interest and attention span. If you can relate then maybe you’d like to try this easy yet powerful way to illustrate to your children (young or old) that Jesus is the single most important gift that we’ve ever been given. This is so easy and requires so little preparation and time, you could even still do it THIS YEAR!
We also always like to close our present opening time by setting aside our new gifts and joining together in prayer as a family to thank God for the ways he has blessed us, both materially and otherwise.
Whether young or old, I pray God will work through you to reach the heart’s of your children this Christmas.

It has been so exciting to hear from so many of you and to hear how God has been working in your own homes to bring Christ to the forefront of His birthday. A HUGE thank you to all of my wonderful guest writers who all took part in this series and also had a great affect on the CHRISTmas in our own home!
